Rick Nichols is an award-winning musician, producer and teacher from New York City now based upstate. Rick’s life in music has spanned four decades and includes performances in the States and Abroad, six self-produced albums, and four original music-theater productions. Described as “Peter Gabriel meets Joseph Campbell”, Rick weaves his passion for mythology and story-telling into his unique acoustic-world sound. Since the 1980’s, Nichols has produced and trained hundreds of students and musicians of all ages, taught music production at colleges in Boston and Manhattan — in addition to touring as a sound-healer at yoga and meditation centers. Returning from a 33-month retreat in silence and seclusion, Rick is currently producing his latest project, SYNCOPIA | A Musical Voyage.
